Artist Interview
...my sound is undeniably rooted in the bassline driven sounds of UK garage, jungle and drum & bass of the turn of the millennium.
Please introduce yourself to those unfamiliar with your DJ sound.
Hi, we are Vibe Society, Jack & Ben Scott - two brothers from the Newquay area. We are multi genre DJs that can play a variety of sets, from RnB Brunches to Hard Dance Raves and everything in between.
...we delivered high energy sets of house, garage, techno and drum and bass and was a real buzz to play at.
What are your highlights of the past year and what is planned for the future?
2025 has been a great year for us, we started it with a bang, playing the headline slot to a packed out crowd at the Dead Famous Newquay. Following on from that at the start of May we played to our biggest crowd to date, over a 1000 people at Carlyon Bay, Cornwall - where we supported the legends that are Jam & Meme. We then managed to get sets at two of Cornwalls biggest festivals, Wild Gardens of Port Elliot and Boardmasters. All of these are massive achievements for us and each one we delivered high energy sets of house, garage, techno and drum and bass and was a real buzz to play at. We finished the summer off with the launch of our new pop up event Mor Sol. A brand recently created by DJ Tom Williams and ourselves, aiming to bring classic and current Ibiza anthems to outdoor locations around Cornwall. It was a great success and such a fun night playing a set of pumped up dance anthems to crowd of over 500 people at Tyacks hotel in Camborne.
Plans for next year will be pushing this event on with several more venues planned around the County. We’re also hoping to continue receiving some great festival bookings, where we can bring our high energy open format sets for as many as possible to listen to.
Tell us something positive to inspire future artists.
Some positives we’ve found over recent years is there are so many friendly and welcoming people out there. Fellow DJs, Promoters, Venue owners and the crowds we’ve played to have all given us great feedback and some have become good mates. For those thinking of getting into DJing in Cornwall it seems we have a really great community of people in the scene, so not only will you enjoy your music more, it won’t take long to find new friendships and receive the support your after.

What artists have inspired your DJ style?
Growing up we spent a lot of our early to mid 20s travelling around to different music festivals around the world, Miami music week, Tomorrowland, EDC Las Vegas, Ultra Europe were all insane, and gave us huge inspiration to get into DJing along with the big EDM artists such as Tiesto, Hardwell and Armin Van Burren. There style of progressively increasing the tempo with there sets is what we base ours on, each drop getting bigger and heavier. We purchased our first set of decks in 2017 and never looked back.
Talk us through your podcast mix track selection.
We really wanted to showcase the variety of tracks we can play so have picked a typical festival set selection, combining well know lyrics with some dance classics. The main objective for us is crowd engagement and to never let the set go flat. As our mix builds we up the energy into powerful techno and harder dance but still keep some familiar breakdowns. Hope you enjoy it and see you somewhere in the future - Vibe Society.
