Ryan’s career is anchored in a deep reverence for house music history, a passion sparked in 1999 by the raw energy of New York and Chicago vinyl culture. His dedication to the craft was forged on the dance floors of the world’s most influential clubbing destinations, from Paris’s Djoon and the beaches of Ibiza to London’s legendary Turnmills and the Amsterdam Dance Event. Channelling the creative spirits of icons like Little Louie Vega, Atjazz, and Osunlade, Ryan has spent years mastering the art of dance floor energy, learning firsthand that the true secret to longevity in the music industry lies in meaningful collaboration, networking, and building a community of people who truly believe in your vision.

Artist Interview
...I blend a range of deep house and Afro house sounds.
Please introduce yourself to those unfamiliar with your DJ sound.
Iʼm Ryan Anthony, an electronic music DJ, producer, and brand owner based in Cornwall. In my live sets and productions, I blend a range of deep house and Afro house sounds. My journey began in 1999, inspired by the raw energy of the Chicago and New York house scenes and the tactile world of vinyl. Through travels to influential spots such as Cheers at Djoon in Paris, Ibiza, Amsterdam Dance Event, Southport Weekender, and City Loud at Turnmills, I immersed myself in the deeper sounds that became my foundation.
What are your highlights of the past year and what is planned for the future?
I had the pleasure of touring Southeast Asia, where I performed shows in Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia. It was an incredible experience and a wonderful opportunity to showcase my sound.
Another highlight has been taking part in Les Gout Int., which has been a great way for me to connect with artists from South Africa and other parts of the world, as well as to perform a number of shows across the U.K. This October, one of my lifelong goals will come true: I will be playing at Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) for the very first time. This is something I have dreamed of since first attending in 2010, and I will be playing alongside some of the artists who have inspired and influenced me over the years.
Tell us something that you know now that you wished you knew when you first started DJing.
The importance of networking, collaborating and surrounding yourself with people who believe in your vision.
...I have curated a musical journey for the listener using new and old tracks from my collection.

What artists have inspired your DJ style?
Artists who have inspired me over the years include Osunlade, Atjazz, and Little Louie Vega. These artists have been a big part of my sound and my journey because they have the ability to shape sound and still bring a unique energy to the dance floor to this day.
Talk us through your podcast mix track selection.
