Roni Size , A.Skillz , The Nextmen , Monki and Marshall Jefferson will join the incredible 2018 Leopallooza line-up alongside Kelis, St. Paul and The Broken Bones, Ratboy and The Go! Team, Tom Grennan and Idles. Dominating the two main dance areas, The Treeline and The Hong Kong Ping Pong Club, the newly confirmed acts will bring thumping bass and electric beats to the rolling green hills of The Wyldes site on Friday 27th July – Sunday 29th July 2018. Tickets for Leopallooza 2018 are on sale now via the website.

Billing itself as ‘The Greatest House Party… in a field’, Leopallooza is a three-day festival fusing music, comedy, theatre, street food, beer and cider. With an eclectic music offering, extended comedy programme, wild storytelling and the introduction of the late night silent disco, karaoke bar and tiny nightclub, Leopallooza XII is set to be the biggest to date.

Winning a Mercury Music Prize for his ‘New Forms' album back in 1997, Roni Size brought D ’n’ B to the very forefront of dance music. Born and raised in Bristol, Roni started on the path of production at the age of 16 and his whole life has been about building something new from whatever was around him. Throughout his musical career, he has at each stage, created, completely afresh, not just a sound or style but an entire methodology of how music can be made and he continues to do so today. Showing no signs of slowing down, Roni is once again in high demand with the world’s best festivals and events.

A true party rocker behind the turntables, A.Skillz captivates crowds with his ability to embrace all aspects of music that he takes inspiration from, and mash them up into a unique cocktail, infused with his own signature flavour of funk. Having clocked up over six million plays on his Soundcloud page, his records have gained support from the biggest names in the industry including Jazzy Jeff, Pete Tong, Annie Mac and Zane Lowe.

From the biggest festivals to the biggest clubs, as well as being the go-to party people for the likes of MTV, Cannes Film Festival and even Sir Richard Branson, The Nextmen (aka Brad Baloo and Dom Search) offer a nutriblend of musical abandon - dancehall, drum’n’bass, reggae, roots, instrumental and actual hip hop, soul and soulful low-end boomp, funk & uk funky, indie, leftfield, ambient, pop and straight-up jars-up pleasers. Producing releases for the likes of Sam Smith, Maverick Sabre, Paulo Nutini and Leona Lewis, as well as working with names such as Rizzle Kicks, Plan B, Public Enemy, Fat Freddy's Drop and The Pharcyde, and with a No1 podcast on the iTunes chart, they're an extremely busy duo.

With a BBC Radio 1 show, her own party brand and a record label, Monki presides over a mini empire, and she has appeared at many of the UK's most iconic venues as well as commanding the biggest festival stages on a regular basis. A consistent force within the electronic music scene, as well as being a true, passionate music aficionado with seemingly unlimited amounts of natural talent, Monki operates in a class of her own, and has earned her place as of the UK's most respected selectors.

He's one of the founding fathers of house music as it is known today. Born in Chicago in 1959, Marshall Jefferson was a central figure in the development of the Chicago house scene and produced seminal house anthems including ‘Move Your Body', ‘7 Ways To Jack' and ‘Open Our Eyes'. He has worked with the very best in the business, from fellow founding father Frankie Knuckles to Roy Davis Jr., Steve ‘Silk' Hurley, Felix Da Housecat and Lil Louis. Heading to Bude on Saturday 28th July, the Leopallooza team are very excited to have such a legend in presence this July.

Event co-founder, Sam Dunnett commented : “The Treeline is a mainstay here at Leopallooza, a big crowd favourite, and more recently so is The Hong Kong Ping Pong Club, which was formerly the Temple of Boom yet promises to be even more awesome this year. Both these areas attract big crowds who love nothing more than getting a sweat on to some exceptional dance music. So to have established legends such as Roni Size and Marshall Jefferson, as well as up and coming legends like A.Skillz, The Nextmen and Radio 1 DJ Monki all heading down to play this year is honestly mind-blowing. I'm not a big dancer but even I might get amongst it this year! It builds on a line up that for us just gets more and more exciting plus there are still lots of announcements yet to come. 2018 could be a vintage year for Leopallooza.”

Joining this year’s dance acts is main stage headliner Kelis as well as Alabama’s six-piece soul band St. Paul and the Broken Bones , Chelmsford’s Jordan Cardy AKA Rat Boy , Bedford born singer-songwriter Tom Grennan , Bristol formed Idles , The Go! Team and Oh My God! It’s The Church with full live band.

NEW ADDITIONS TO LEOPALLOOZA XII…

New additions to Leopallooza XII include The Funny Side – an improved area with a strict focus, gags and giggles. Hosting Russell Kane and Josh Widdicombe this year’s comedy offering is bigger and better than ever; Rogue Wood – new for 2018, Rogue Theatre will transform the woodland of Leopallooza for three days of immersive storytelling; Shi Shi Za Karaoke Bar – a twist on Japanese karaoke that gives partygoers the chance to exercise the vocal chords and unleash the inner diva; Dinkies - Leopallooza’s tiny nightclub that holds just a handful of dancers; and The Quiet Riot - giving festival guests the chance to control the dancefloor, DJs will battle it out through glowing wireless headphones for an ‘everyone’s’ style, high-energy dance party.

RETURNING FAVOURITES…

In addition to The Treeline and The Hong Kong Ping Pong Club returning favourites include The MONO Stage - the southwest’s greatest pop-up alternative music venue; and Palloozaville – the onsite feast area serving delicious street food throughout the weekend.
