The enthusiastic response from the Cornish nightlife community was overwhelming, allowing Little South to become a crucial platform for local artists seeking exposure at events. As time went on, our reach expanded beyond Cornwall and encompassed artists and events from across the entire South West of England, UK. One of our defining features has been the opportunity to showcase DJ mixes through our podcast series. Since our establishment, we have actively published podcast mixes from some of the most talented DJs in the South West. These mixes serve as a testament to the exceptional skills and creativity of our region's DJs, providing a platform for them to showcase their talent to a wider audience.

Please introduce yourself to those unfamiliar with your DJ sound.

Hi, I’m Danae B, a passionate house music DJ who brings soul, energy, and innovation to every set I play. After taking a step back from regular gigging last year, I used the time to reimagine what live DJ sets could be. The result? DVOTION! A powerful new collaboration with the incredibly talented vocalist and artist, Selena.

We’ve already made waves with our debut performance on the mainstage at Rattler Fest, and with more festivals lined up, this is just the beginning for DVOTION.

What are your highlights of the past year and what is planned for the future?

Thanks so much for having me! Yeah, last year I decided to slow things down a little and focus on something fresh. I still played a couple of festivals, but I really used the time to think about how I could make my sets more interactive, really take the audience on a journey. That’s when DVOTION was born, a project with my amazing friend and vocalist Selena. We wanted to create something that goes beyond just music, and our first show at Rattler Fest was just incredible.

Tell us something positive to inspire future artists.

Be true to what you love and what genuinely brings you joy. When you’re authentic, that energy shines through in your performance, and your audience can feel it. It makes everything better for everyone. But also, don’t give up, keep pushing, keep learning. Every day is a chance to grow, no matter where you are in your journey.

What artists have inspired your DJ style?

EZ and James Hype, their skills are next level! Their style isn’t exactly what I do, but I have so much respect for their artistry and what they bring to the scene. Also Fred Again, what an incredible live performer, I hope one day that I can develop my skill to that level to perform live sets!
