Snow Patrol To Play Eden Sessions

September 16th 2021

The Eden Project, Cornwall

Snow Patrol have been announced to play the Eden Sessions on September 16th 2021. The Eden Project's 'Eden Sessions' will take place slightly later in the year due to lockdown rules on live events taking place in the UK.

What the organisers say

Rock superstars Snow Patrol will be making their long-awaited return to the Eden Sessions after their memorable sold-out gig in 2006, and will be joined by special guest Irish singer-songwriter Lucy Blue.

In 2020, Snow Patrol released the five-track EP The Fireside Sessions. The tracks were written in collaboration with the band’s fans as part of their Saturday livestreams and recorded during lockdown. All proceeds from sales and streaming downloads went to The Trussell Trust charity, who support a network of foodbanks in the UK.

Since their debut album in 1998, the band have accumulated many critical and commercial accolades, including more than 15 million global album sales, more than one billion global track streams, five UK Platinum Albums, and are Grammy, BRIT Award and Mercury Music Prize nominated.

In 2005, Snow Patrol’s third album Final Straw won the Ivor Novello Album Award. The album was also listed in NME’s 2006 list of 100 Best Albums of All Time.

The band released their hit album Eyes Open in 2006 which became the biggest-selling album in the UK that year and included the iconic track Chasing Cars. In 2009, Channel 4 named it the Song of the Decade and in 2011 it won the Q Award for Classic Song.

Snow Patrol released their seventh studio album Wildness in May 2018. It debuted at number two in the UK Albums Chart and has been certified gold. It was followed in 2019 by Reworked which included three new songs as well as 13 re-envisioned versions of classic songs, celebrating Snow Patrol’s 25th anniversary as a band.

Alongside Chasing Cars, other notable hits from the band are Run, You’re All I Have, Signal Fire, Take Back the City, Just Say Yes and Called Out in the Dark.
