Artist Interview

"I thought it was important to give the listeners some nostalgia and something to look forward to the future."

Hi Myles, it’s been too long since we last featured you. How has the last 12 months fared for you?

Amazing. I’ve learnt so much in the last year and I feel like musically I’ve got so much to learn still. Things change and it’s important to remain humble and positive no matter what happens.

How have you been filling your time during the UK lockdown?

I’ve been working on a lot of new music for Rawsum Records and various labels. I’ve also been using my 1210’s a lot more, it’s really shown me that I can play under pressure doing live streams which is awesome fun.

"I’m really looking forward to getting behind the decks at some private parties and releasing some music which people will have a lot more time to explore."

What’s planned for the next 12 months?

So much. People think with this lockdown that music has halted but it really hasn’t, if anything it’s given the underground scene something to work towards. I’m really looking forward to getting behind the decks at some private parties and releasing some music which people will have a lot more time to explore.
Where should you be playing this summer?

Ahhh man, please don’t haha. There was so much planned for summer but obviously things have changed. I was planned for a full summer down Carlyon Bay. My party (edit) had some amazing bookings from Ireland and Germany but don’t fear, it’ll all be here next summer (with all being well).
Talk us through your podcast tune selection.

This was a special mix for me. I chose some wicked new tracks I’ve been playing, some new stuff on the label and some old stuff we used to play at pop clique (Falmouth / Watermans) and Loud Love. I thought it was important to give the listeners some nostalgia and something to look forward to the future.
