Back with his fifth musical offering for us, DJ BenG brings a fresh collection of Nu-Disco tracks to our focus. Expect some funky, jackin' sounds in the mix! Ben tells us about an exciting clothing venture and the creation of his own musical platform.

Please introduce yourself to those unfamiliar with your DJ life.

My name is DJ BenG, and I hail from Looe, in sunny Cornwall.


This is my fifth offering for Little South, which I have again enjoyed putting together. I have focused on Nu-Disco for this particular mix, which features a range of current examples from the sub-genre of house music.


Currently, I'm in the process of making a new website where I plan to show off and promote my DJ mixes, start a blog about mental health, and launch my latest project, "SevenTees," which is a line of t-shirts based around the disco and house music scenes. This has been something that I have had my eye on for a while, and I am now looking to make it a reality rather than just something I ponder from time to time.


But, as with anything, finding time between projects and day-to-day life is difficult, as I'm sure many of you will agree.

Talk us through your podcast mix track selection.

I start out with a re-edit of a classic by the S.O.S. Band before mixing into various sounds and styles that all encapsulate the essence of the sound. Bringing up the music in the middle to a very funky, almost jackin’ vibe before becoming more electronic towards the end and finishing with a couple of somewhat chilled tracks.
