The Chemical Brothers have been announced as the first headlining act for the Boardmasters festival 2018 alongside Annie Mac. This year’s event will run from August 8-12, taking place at Fistral Beach and Watergate Bay in Cornwall.

The announcement of a headline act like the Chemical Brothers is a confident move which sets the Boardmasters firmly among the top UK music festivals. Expect to see many more artists added to the line up as the festival builds up to the summer season.

The Chemical Brothers have been confirmed as the festival headline and will close the main stage on the festival’s Saturday night (August 11).

Andrew Topham, Boardmasters Festival Director, says: “We are delighted to announce The Chemical Brothers as our first headline act for Boardmasters 2018. Following another sell-out year which saw the biggest Boardmasters ever this summer, we are excited to bring more of the most exciting names in music to Cornwall next August. Boardmasters’ unique fusion of the very best in international surfing and music helps to keep Cornwall firmly on the map as the festival sees unprecedented growth year on year. We can’t wait to welcome our incredible community for another summer of thrilling surf and music action across two stunning sites – Fistral Beach and Watergate Bay.”

They will be joined on the bill by the likes of The Horrors, Craig David and Annie Mac. Also confirmed are The Amazons, HAAi, Fat Freddy’s Drop, Declan McKenna, Tom Walker, Sam Fender, and Bicep.
