Little South is where the artists come to play - created with the goal of supporting and promoting local DJs and Producers in West Cornwall, UK, who specialise in various genres of dance music. The enthusiastic response from the Cornish nightlife community was overwhelming, allowing Little South to become a crucial platform for local artists seeking exposure at events. As time went on, our reach expanded beyond Cornwall and encompassed artists and events from across Devon and the entire South West of England , UK. One of our defining features has been the opportunity to showcase DJ mixes through our podcast series. Since our establishment, we have actively published podcast mixes from some of the most talented DJs in the South West . These mixes serve as a testament to the exceptional skills and creativity of our region's DJs, providing a platform for them to showcase their talent to a wider audience.

At Little South, we have a strong commitment to nurturing nightlife and live music events. A crucial aspect of our work is event promotion, which we prioritize and strive to excel at. Our dedicated team actively seeks out localised, independent music events to showcase and promote. Additionally, we proudly provide a platform for major events happening throughout the South West region , including specialist music festivals and large capacity live music events. This year's Boardmasters festival in Newquay is shaping up to be the biggest yet with an ever-growing line up. Hundreds of artists have been added to the 2019 line including Florence and the Machine, Foals, Dizzee Rascal, Franz Ferdinand, Mabel, Jax Jones, Martin Solveig, Wilkinson, Sub Focus, Claude Vonstroke, Derrick Carter to name just a few!

Organisers have sent out a warningto those intending on bringing drugs to the festival.

⚠ WARNING - You will be refused entry to Boardmasters if caught with drugs.

Don’t ruin your weekend, use the amnesty point to get rid of them, no questions asked.

Once past the amnesty points we will have teams of sniffer dogs and searches in place.

Boardmasters is an annual festival that combines some of the best music with Surf, BMX and Skate competitions in and around the town of Newquay in Cornwall. It usually takes place over three days in late August part of season. With a history that links to some of the Surfers Against Sewage events that have taken place over the last three decades, Boardmasters can trace its heritage back to 1981.

Expect raw, high energy sounds on the main stages of the Boardmasters festival, where the music is usually appropriate for the extreme sports crowd without coming over too much like the soundtrack for the latest console skateboarding game. This takes place at Watergate Bay, whilst you’ll catch most of the extreme sports going down around Fistral Beach.

The Boardmasters Festival completely takes over Newquay, where there’s tons of little clubs and pubs that provide a sanctuary for late night party heads who just don’t know when to leave it alone. This is a high energy event that gives attendees a dose of the spectacular alongside their sonic entertainment, set against the background of some of the most beautiful beach views you’ll catch anywhere in the UK.
