...disco inspired house music.

Hi, Please introduce yourself to those unfamiliar with your DJ life.

My name is Ben Holtam, aka DJ BenG.

Describe your DJ sound.

I play funky, soulful, disco inspired house music.

...I am very proud of the work that I have put in on this one.

Tell us how you have kept busy during the last year or so of lockdowns.

A few years back, I produced a weekly radio show & podcast which I would send out to various radio stations around the globe but gave that up when it got a little too much. It was a big commitment & I found it tough to keep it up so I gave it up & took a break.

Now, I produce mixes as often as I can & post them to my music pages & also send out guest mixes to anyone who asks. This is now my fourth mix for Little South & I am very proud of the work that I have put in on this one.

Talk us through this podcast episode and why you have chosen to include the tracks that have made the cut.

I wanted a bit more of an uptempo vibe to this mix, something that would listen to pre-club or in a late night bar. The tracks I have selected are all pretty new & current which is mostly how I like to play in my mixes. I like to keep the music bang up to date & also include tracklistings to help support & promote the artists & labels.

This isn’t always the case, sometimes to throw in a re-edit or a classic (as I have here) to finish things off.

My plans are to continue to put out new mixes for both my own pages or for guest slots & I am always open to playing out & about so give me a shout if you like my sound.
