The enthusiastic response from the Cornish nightlife community was overwhelming, allowing Little South to become a crucial platform for local artists seeking exposure at events. As time went on, our reach expanded beyond Cornwall and encompassed artists and events from across Devon and the entire South West of England, UK . One of our defining features has been the opportunity to showcase DJ mixes through our podcast series. Since our establishment, we have actively published podcast mixes from some of the most talented DJs in the South West . These mixes serve as a testament to the exceptional skills and creativity of our region's DJs, providing a platform for them to showcase their talent to a wider audience.

Please introduce yourself to those unfamiliar with your DJ sound.

I'm Ste Ellis, a DJ, producer and the showrunner of the TECHNOPULSE radio show. I'm also a resident DJ for Inception Events in the South West of the UK, I've built a reputation for delivering high-energy, peak-time sets, melodic techno and raw, hypnotic grooves with driving rhythms.

What are your highlights of the past year and what is planned for the future?

Over the last year, I've released music on Maraxe's STOK Recordings and DJ Choon's TECHNOPULSE Recordings, making an immediate impact on the Beatport charts. My debut EP, Celestial Being, reached No. 1 on the Beatport Raw Techno Releases chart, while my first official remix featured on an EP that also claimed the No. 1 spot in both the Peak Time and Hard Techno Releases charts.

Tell us something that you know now that you wished you knew when you first started DJing.

When I first started DJing, I wish I'd known just how important networking is. No matter how good you are, having the right connections can be vital in helping you get yourself out there.

What artists have inspired your DJ style?

My musical influences are wide-ranging and reflect a lifelong passion for electronic music. From the early sounds of DJ Ratty, Tango and Fallout, through to legendary artists such as Carl Cox, Ben Sims, Luke Slater, Grooverider, Adam Beyer, Sasha, John Digweed and Paul van Dyk, my tastes span multiple generations of dance music. More contemporary influences include Mark Knight, Yousef, Eats Everything, ANNE, DJ Dextro, Th;en, Joris Voorn and many more.
