Ros Atkins' Rave Machine In Falmouth

21st February 2026

The Cornish Bank, Falmouth

This February 21st, 2026, BBC News journalist and DJ Ros Atkins brings his high-energy Rave Machine to The Cornish Bank in Falmouth for a massive homecoming show. Fresh from a triumphant Glastonbury run, Atkins returns to his Cornish roots for his first gig in the county since 1999, joined by a legendary lineup of West Country dance royalty.

The night features an exclusive performance from Tom Middleton, an electronic pioneer who cut his teeth at iconic venues like The Shire Horse, alongside the powerful voice of rave scene veteran MC Ribbz. Completing the bill is MC Chickaboo, a Jungle and D&B trailblazer who returns to host after her standout appearance with the Rave Machine at Glastonbury.

What the organisers say

After taking this year's Glastonbury by storm, for the first time Ros Atkins brings Rave Machine back home to Cornwall. Not just that - he's bringing West Country dance music royalty with him. Expect a high energy, all in party. Whistles and horns optional...

Ros Atkins grew up in Stithians and fell in love with hardcore and D&B by listening to cassettes from parties around the South-West. He's now a BBC News journalist and presenter but, after a Drum&Bass set for BBC 6 Music in 2022, he's gone back to DJing too - playing Glastonbury this year and last. This is his first gig in Cornwall since 1999.

Tom Middleton also grew up in Cornwall and became known for pioneering cross-genre electronic releases from the early 90s rave days to today, spanning ambient, house, techno, breakbeats and D&B. Tom was a regular at legendary Cornish venues The Shire Horse and The Bowgie alongside Aphex Twin, Luke Vibert and the Rephlex crew. He's also played to crowds all over the world, sharing stages with Snoop, Lady Gaga and Mark Ronson.

MC Ribbz is a legend of the West Country rave scene. His voice has provided the soundtrack to some of the best parties of the last thirty-five years. He's joining forces with Tom Middleton for an exclusive set for us.

MC Chickaboo was a pioneer of the early Jungle and D&B scenes and has been at the top of her game ever since. She hosted a packed Rave Machine at this year's Glastonbury Festival and will be joining forces with Ros Atkins once more at The Cornish Bank.
