Rekordbox DJ 6.0.1 Uses Artificial Intelligence To Detect Vocals In Tracks.

Pioneer DJ has added a new function to it's Reckordbox software which can detect and show where vocals are in waveforms. Most experienced DJs aim to avoid clashing vocals when mixing between different tracks and this update will aid the process. Pioneer DJ say: “This is possible thanks to AI technology with deep-learning capabilities embedded in the software’s new music analysis algorithm, which we co-developed with Japanese tech company Qosmo.”

But it is not all good news as it looks like Pioneer are the latest software developer to adopt as subscription model and restrict new features to those paying the £14.99 monthly fee. Included in this latest update is the ability to use the Beatport LINK streaming service.
