Cornwall is not only a popular summer destination but also offers a range of attractions during the winter months. Visiting Cornwall during the Christmas season can provide a unique and enjoyable experience. This guide offers insights into various events and activities taking place in Cornwall this Christmas.

Eden will host a variety of festive activities this Christmas season, featuring a market, visits with Father Christmas, and stunning illuminations. The ice rink is set to open on 19th October and will remain available for enjoyment throughout the winter season. It is important to purchase tickets separately if you wish to skate. After dark, the biome will be transformed into a dazzling spectacle with lights, projections, and installations, so be sure to book your time slot in advance.


Father Christmas will be making a return to the Eden Project for a new theatrical immersive experience from 22nd November to 24th December 2024. Guests will have the opportunity to go behind the scenes and discover the preparations leading up to Christmas Day, while also meeting Santa himself.


The Christmas events at Eden, St Austell will take place from 22nd November 2024 to 5th January 2025.

The Heligan Night Gardens offer a unique lantern experience within the renowned Lost Gardens of Heligan. Visitors can explore the Gardens, which are illuminated by a collection of traditional paraffin lanterns, creating a captivating ambiance. Each area showcases a stunning display of flora and fauna lanterns, highlighting the beauty of Heligan’s iconic locations. This event is scheduled to take place on selected dates from November 15th, 2024, to January 5th, 2025, in St Austell.
