Greg zizique 's podcast mixes little south episode 4/19

Greg Zizique delivers a podcast mix loaded with funky, peak time house tunes. Greg is a familiar artist who joins DJ line ups across the South West of England.

Hi Greg, welcome back to the Little South podcast mix series. Tell how 2018 was for you.
2018 continued to be good with lots of bookings and repeat sets all around the South West. I focused in on good sets at good venues and released a lot of new original music.

What were your stand out gigs?
I really enjoyed playing at Mangos in Falmouth, which has had a big overhaul in every way. Drift invited me to play both at House Fridays and DROP events and they have all been such a great vibe and atmosphere. Being from Falmouth originally, it was always hard to see house music have a decent home and open minded crowd, but the guys have made it into something really positive which is great for the town, Cornwall and scene overall.

Have you been producing any music?
I wiped the slate clean production wise and re-focused. I've made some solid tracks that went down well and sold strong in South America and Eastern Europe in particular. I’ve veered towards a tech house and techno inspired direction for the tracks, mainly to show the darker side, which can be quite a contrast to the happier house sets you’ll hear from me.

What's next for this year?
2019 is again set be strong with continued re bookings and now I’ve moved and settled in probably more spread as I’m perfectly situated again. I’ve already released my first track of the year called ‘Hush-hush” and started work on another EP that will go further into different directions.

Talk us through your podcast mix.
My first 2019 Little South podcast mix has loaded tracks, some funkier edged, others bass driven and then some deeper underground purebred tracks of mine. There’s also a bootleg I made which I have played in every set for around 18 months. Its as always, a club orientated, peak time, full fired sound and should set the party going before your night out.
