The enthusiastic response from the Cornish nightlife community was overwhelming, allowing Little South to become a crucial platform for local artists seeking exposure at events. As time went on, our reach expanded beyond Cornwall and encompassed artists and events from across the entire South West of England, UK. One of our defining features has been the opportunity to showcase DJ mixes through our podcast series. Since our establishment, we have actively published podcast mixes from some of the most talented DJs in the South West. These mixes serve as a testament to the exceptional skills and creativity of our region's DJs, providing a platform for them to showcase their talent to a wider audience.

Our dedicated team actively seeks out localized, independent music events to showcase and promote. We may still be in the UK coronavirus lockdown and socialising a distant dream, but that has not stopped the original 'funk soul brother' from announcing big plans for a free NHS thank you party. Fatboy Slim will play a party in his home town of Brighton in October 2020.

The DJ extended “an invitation to all NHS doctors, nurses, support workers, porters and cleaners” as well as “all blue light staff, ambulance, police and fire service (+ importantly their +1s)” to attend the show.

“By the time life returns to normal, we will all want to celebrate together and I would like to do my bit to reward and thank everyone who has been holding our lives together in these most difficult of times,” the DJ said in a statement about the gig.

Tickets for the gig, which carries the subtitle ‘NHS: I Have To Praise You Like I Should’ (in reference to Fatboy Slim’s 1999 single ‘Praise You’), will go on sale tomorrow (April 17) at 7PM.
