We just need it to stop raining now!

Hi, please introduce yourself to those who are unfamiliar with your DJ work.

I’m Ben aka DJ BenG and I’d like to start by thanking Little South for what is now my third appearance and guest mix on their site.

How have you utilised the 2020/21 lockdowns?

Been keeping myself busy since we last spoke by setting up various new revenue streams to make sure that my bills are paid during these bizarre times. Musically, I have been listening to as much as possible and find myself lately edging towards the more vocal and soulful styles of house...must be the summer coming! We just need it to stop raining now!

My style varies but is always orientated towards the funky, disco and sweet soulful house tunes.

What's planned for the summer?

Hoping to make a few gigs this season. Have tickets for Mousse T’s visit to The Terrace, in Plymouth, as part of the DancersHip crew’s summer line up (how exciting!). It’s always a good night there so shout out to those guys.

Talk us through your podcast mix track selection.

I’ve put together another mix of nu-disco, re-edits and some of my favourite house tracks that are arounds at the moment. My style varies but is always orientated towards the funky, disco and sweet soulful house tunes.
