The second of the monthly Comedy nights over at the Princess Pavilion Garden room, is on the the 20th September priced at £8 per person. This time around Chris Purchase is headlining the event, with support from Rik Carranza, all hosted by Sandi Smith.

Fresh from a sell out run of his new show ‘Distracted’ at Dave’s Leicester Comedy Festival, being a finalist for What’s On magazine’s Best Comedian 2016, 2017 and 2018, finalist for the Laugh Factory’s international joke of the year 2017 and recently hand-picked to support Reginald D. Hunter on tour.

Comedy World Record holder Chris is currently taking the comedy scene by storm with his mix of light hearted anecdotes and cultural satire. After going viral multiple times last year Chris’ popularity has rocketed and you can now see him performing in all of the major UK comedy clubs. Chris is also massively popular with corporate clients including hosting Google’s European conferences. Owner of Comedy 42, Staffordshire’s best regular comedy show (What’s On best show 2017, finalist 2018), and Dark Times, appearing at both The Stand and The Comedy Store in 2018, Chris will soon be a household name.

In support is Rik Carranza. As the only Scottish/Filipino comic on the UK circuit, Rik’s dual heritage gives him a wealth of funny stories from an intriguing perspective and experience. Engaging, likeable, sharp, and unique, Rik is rising the ranks fast. He is also the creator and host of Star Trek vs Star Wars, the hit comedy debate panel show that debuted at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2016, It has gone on to be performed at comic conventions and venues around the country, to rave reviews.

The event will be hosted by South West favourite Sandi Smith. Sandi began performing in 2013 telling her stories with ascerbic wit whilst managing to maintain a warm connection with her audiences.In her first six months of performing, she reached the semi final of Funny Women and the heats of the BBC New Comedy Awards.

Tickets are £8. Food will be available before the comedy which will start at just after 20:00. Before the comedy we will also have musical entertainment provided by Ben Thorpe.
