Both Capital Dance and Radio 1 Dance have launched in the UK.

...the new Capital Weekender show, which will be broadcast live on both Capital and Capital Dance.

Capital Radio have launched their dance music offering on DAB and app streaming service whilst the BBC have launched Radio 1 Dance exclusively via their 'BBC Sounds' platform. Capital Dance have nabbed Mista Jam after being with the beeb for 15 years! Pete Tong, Danny Howard and Annie Mac will head up Radio One Dance.

The (BBC) stream will provide a second chance to hear the station’s world-famous DJs and mixes from all corners of the globe, offering something distinctly different for music fans to get stuck into.

The BBC press release gives fans more chance to catch their favourite dance shows.

 

"Radio 1 Dance will bring together Radio 1’s rich slate of existing dance programmes into a dedicated stream on BBC Sounds, making it even easier for current and new listeners to find them. The stream will provide a second chance to hear the station’s world-famous DJs and mixes from all corners of the globe, offering something distinctly different for music fans to get stuck into."

Meanwhile Capital released details of their dance music offering.


“Mistajam has joined brand-new station, Capital Dance, where he'll broadcast on the Global airwaves from Tuesday until Saturday, between 4PM and 7PM. He'll also be presenting on Capital, on Friday and Saturday nights from 7PM, launching the new Capital Weekender show, which will be broadcast live on both Capital and Capital Dance.”
