Apple Music Could Become The Biggest Home For DJ Mixes

Apple's latest plan to host DJ mixes could help it become the world's biggest music hub.

Right now Apple are putting everything they have on becoming the worlds number one music streaming resource and DJs could be how they achieve supremacy. Apple signing DJs to create fully legal content for their DJ mix category. The initiative is powered by Shazam which allows tracks to be identified and Apple's music platform would allow for royalties to be paid.

Apple is building upon the Shazam tech that it acquired in 2018 and partnering with record labels. Apple has the tools to identify music and ensure royalties are paid to the record labels and artists. Apple have already commissioned DJ mixes from Carl Cox and Charlotte de Witte with a large scale expansion planned for their DJ mixes music category.
